Greenwood State Beach • 6100 S. Highway 1, Elk, CA
A magical sunset walk and gathering of purple urchin at low tide on the rise of the Super Full Moon.
We will begin the top of Greenwood State Park and descend to the beach. Low tide is at 5:30pm. We will have a bonfire and will blow the kelp horns to say farewell to the sun and welcome the full moon. We may also spot the Draconids Meteor Shower which will be at its zenith.
This is a free event and welcome to all. Please note: a fishing license is required for harvesting urchin, but all are free to join in the eating.
