Don’t miss the second annual KelpFest! Parade! Seaweed Spectacle in Mendocino is a vibrant celebration of our ocean’s kelp forests, community creativity, and coastal stewardship, featuring pre and post parade entertainment and programming.

Join us at 11:30 AM at entrance to Portuguese Beach. At 12:00 PM, the parade travels through downtown Mendocino, concluding with a 12:30 PM celebration and additional programming at Mendocino Art Center. Participants are encouraged to craft plastic-free, recycled, or repurposed costumes that honor environmental stewardship and ocean health. Please bring a reusable water bottle, sun protection, and any needed costume repair supplies. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Parking is limited, so carpooling, biking, or walking is strongly encouraged. Come celebrate community spirit, creativity, and the beauty of our kelp forest ecosystem along the Mendocino coast!
