The Caspar Cove Project
Monthly Community Dive Event

Saturday, May 25th, 7am to 7pm, at Caspar Cove

Join us for the monthly Sea Urchin Removal Event at Caspar Cove! Dive into action and help to restore the health of our coastal ecosystem by removing Purple Sea Urchins from the waters of Caspar Cove. These voracious grazers have decimated the kelp forests, but with your help, we can work towards restoring balance to the underwater ecosystem. As a part of KelpFest! month on this Saturday in May, dive and marine science experts will share their knowledge of removing urchin as a part of this experimental restoration project. Dive enthusiasts and ocean lovers of all experience levels are welcome to participate.

Other dives are the last Saturday of each month through September, organized by the Casper Cove Project:

  • Saturday June 29, 2024

  • Saturday July 27, 2024

  • Saturday August 31, 2024 (Labor Day Weekend)

  • Saturday September 28, 2024

REGISTER for the upcoming community dive and be a part of the solution to ocean conservation.
