The Mendocino Art Center becomes KelpFest’s creative hub for the weekend, featuring hands-on workshops, artist demonstrations, gallery tours, and exhibitions inspired by California’s coastal ecosystems.

Meet exhibiting artists, participate in hands-on activities, and explore how art can deepen our relationship with our ocean. This is a welcoming opportunity to experience the creative side of KelpFest.

Featured Installation: Pool by Gail White is an immersive video and sound installation filmed in the tide pools of Salt Point State Park. Moving water becomes part of the artwork itself as the projected image passes through a suspended basin, revealing the hidden beauty, fragility, and resilience of California’s intertidal world.
